Compared to Linktree and general services
Linktree, Beacons and the other general providers serve every industry at once. They are mature, stable and perfectly sufficient for most purposes — they simply know nothing about games.
- Live instead of static. Discord status, Twitch stream and current game arrive on the profile by themselves. On general services there is at best a widget somebody has to maintain.
- Consoles are not links. A Nintendo friend code or a Riot ID cannot be linked. ZYVR treats them as identifiers and makes them copyable with one click.
- Paid once instead of monthly. Wanting more there means paying every month. Here it is a single payment.
- A German operator. Servers in Germany, imprint, privacy policy and right of withdrawal under German law.
Compared to gaming profile sites
Sites in the .bio and .lol style are the closer relative and often excel at customisation — effects, backgrounds, fonts. If an extraordinary-looking profile is what you mainly want, you are in good hands there.
- The status is real. It is read from Discord through a bot, not typed in once and then forgotten.
- No credit system. One purchase, unlocked permanently — no points, no tiers, no monthly charge.
- An operator with an address. Imprint, privacy policy and a statutory right of withdrawal. That matters on the day something goes wrong.
When ZYVR is not the right choice
Three cases where another service is the better pick — nobody gains if you feel out of place here:
- You have no Discord account and want none. Sign-in runs exclusively through it, and the status display depends on it.
- You need a shop, a newsletter or appointment booking. The large providers do that; ZYVR does not.
- You need your own domain. Profiles live at zyvr.io/yourname.
